LOCAL CURRICULUM CONSULTATION
A local curriculum is the ‘schools curriculum’. It is how we take the New Zealand curriculum and adapt it to meet the needs of our learners and our community. In order to do this we need whānau voice. We will be collecting your voice in 3 ways:
1) A small postcard relating to our current Strategic Goals (school direction). We’ve tried to keep this very brief so that parents aren’t put off by the length of the survey. If you are able to jot 2 or 3 next steps / development ideas that would be great. These will be handed out tomorrow and the first 50 learners to hand one in at the office will receive a free pass to Gravity Trampoline Park.
2) Staff and Board Member conversations at Time to Shine – We look forward to coming to talk to you at the Time to Shine picnic so that you can share your thoughts in regards to what’s working really well and what we could focus on more.
3) Phone conversations – Claire and I (Carla) will be randomly phoning caregivers to ask a few questions to gather even more voice.
Please know that every piece of information we receive will be read, discussed and used to ensure our school curriculum meets the needs and aspirations of our school community.
Have a lovely evening 🙂
