I hope you are enjoying this lovely sunshine. Attached to this email is a document that has two pieces of information: 2024 Alfriston School Staffing and Time to Shine Performance Order.
2024 Staffing: You may notice one of our current staff members missing off the list. Mrs Kulbir Nand will be leaving us at the end of the year to take up a position as an RTLB (Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour). This role will see Mrs Nand going into a variety of schools to support individual learners and groups of learners. Mrs Nand has been at Alfriston School for 2 years and in this time she has provided some of our Senior learners with engaging and challenging learning. Caregivers have spoken to me about the impact Mrs Nand has made on their child, she will be missed be many. We wish her all the very best and look forward to seeing her around school (in her new role and as a parent).
We have two experienced, highly respected staff joining us in 2024. Elyse Aupa’au is coming from Karaka School and Rosie Bamola from Waiau Pa School. I know that both these lovely ladies will slot into the Alfriston School learning community seamlessly and learners will enjoy learning alongside these ladies.
Learners will meet their 2024 teacher on Monday 18th December and they will bring home a slip informing you of their class teacher and Room number.
Time to Shine Picnic and Concert: This event will start at 4.30pm on the school field, Monday 11th December. The order of performances is attached, however we hope you stay and support all classes. This was a great event last year and we are all looking forward to it again.
Have a lovely sunny weekend and we’ll see you on Monday.
